ABOUT ME
SUMMARY
I am a highly motivated general dentist, seeking opportunities to work in teams of individuals that provide high quality dental care to diverse patient populations. I am passionate about learning, sharing ideas, and helping solve challenging problems in dentistry.
​
I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2017. I have been working as a full-time associate in a downtown implant-focused general practice since January 2018, where I have had great opportunities to learn and practice a wide range of clinical skills that have helped me grow tremendously and discover my life passions.
​
As a clinician, I have become devoted to help patients regain their confidence and quality of life; I believe restorative, implant dentistry, prosthodontics, and oral surgery can help me do that.

After dental school, I was very fortunate to find an excellent mentor who has supported my passions in dentistry. In addition general dentistry, he has helped me hone my clinical skills in oral surgery, and prosthodontics. A significant part of my work experience with him has focused in implant crown and bridge, implant-supported dentistry, and full mouth rehabilitations. I also have had a chance to improve my skills in dental photography.

While in dental school, I was selected to participate in the Honors Oral Surgery Elective Program. Through this program, I had a chance to assist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residents in the Oral Surgery Clinic at the hospital, where I gained valuable experience in performing surgical extractions, and became familiar with sedation dentistry.

MY JOURNEY
Roots & Inspiration:
I was born in Colombia, but have lived most of my life in the U.S. I was very fortunate to have my mom and dad inspire me to dream big from an early age. Our story as a family has been a main driving force for my professional goals, and continues to help me find inspiration to become a better individual every day.
Creativity, and Science:
I am curious and a thinker at heart, so it felt natural for me to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering. I wanted to have a career that let me find creative solutions to real-world problems.
Art:
Since I was young, doodling, drawing, and sketching have been one of my favourite pastimes. I always try to find time in my schedule to some drawing to keep me young at heart.
Dentistry:
Dentistry first sparked my interest after graduating college. Volunteering at a local community health centre gave me an opportunity to explore a career in dentistry. It was during this time that I discovered dentistry blended creativity, art, and science to a profession that allowed me to express my life passions every day. Since graduating from dental school, it's been very rewarding to see my work bring joy to people's lives.
Today:
I find myself continually inspired by the gratefulness of my patients. Because of them, I strive to become better at my craft with every opportunity.
